Full Name: Jessica Tina Lockheart

Nicknames: Jessie, Jess, Ace, Shaq, Rascal, Squirt, and Shorty

Age: 15

Birthdate: May 5, 1985

Height: 5’3”

Species: Human

Accent: Standard American with a slightly high pitch; feminine, yet sounds boyish (Voice Actor: Susan Roman)

Relatives: Phil Polmfeather, her uncle

Appearance: Jessica is a very short kid; which came from years of starvation, a result from poverty.  She has waist length light brown hair.  She’s tried over and over to cut it short, but it always kept growing back fast like a weed.  Giving up, Jess decided to tie her hair into a ponytail; her bangs flake upwards slightly, then spike downwards, like Lita from Sailor Moon.  She also has two strands of hair in front of her ears touch her shoulder blades.  People say her hair’s the same color as cinnamon, except lighter in color.  Even if it hasn’t been washed in days, and is filled with dirt, her hair never looses its shine.  But the most fascinating part of Jessie’s appearance are her eyes.  To people, they look like emeralds.  However, Jessie is near frail health.  Her bodybuild is very scrawny; barely any meat on her bones.  She has many scars and bruises all over her body, along with a reddish half-inch scar on her right eyelid.  Her appearnce isn’t her fault though, and despite everything, she’s still pretty in a way.  At the moment, the scars are starting to vanquish, and she’s slowly ganing a healthy amount of weight.

Weapons: Since Jessie’s lived on the streets all of her life, she uses a sling-shot and a pocket knife she stole from her father a long time ago.  She also uses a Pucklauncher if she can get her hands on one.  But she’s done good without them.  Fourteen years on the streets gave her guts, swiftness, and strength.  She’s currently taking Judo lessons...against the wishes of the Ducks and Phil.  At the moment, she’s an orange belt.

Attire: Jessie rarely fights the Saurians, since the Ducks and her Uncle Phil forbid her.  But she usually sneaks off to join them.  She wears anything that feels comfortable, enabling her to move freely and easily.  So her battle attire consists of a white tanktop, with a red firebreathing dragon embroidered on it, along with gray gloves with a communicator built on her right wrist.  She also wears black pants that are the other half of her do bok; korean for karate uniform.  On the right side of her pants, it has white writing on it; the name of the dojo she practices Judo at, in the Korean alphabet.  Her belt, which’s metallic and black, has one gray harasett on her right hip.  Lastly, to complete the battle wear, she wears white military style boots.

For everyday wear, Jessie usually wears a white T-shirt with a big red Nike symbol in the middle, along with blue jeans and green baseball cap, with white sneakers.  When it’s cold, her attire would be followed by a white jeans jacket with black sleeves.  Sometimes in REALLY hot weather, she’d wear a black mid-drift tank, with a white tank top over it, baggy beige pants, and white sneakers.

Personality: Jessica is the ULTIMATE tomboy!  Well...she DOES have long hair, but it would be cut short if it didn’t grow back to her wasitline so fast.  She walks like a boy, talks like a boy, plays like a boy, and acts like a boy.  Heck, she even EATS like a boy.  And even though she ACTS LIKE a boy, it doesn’t mean that she doensn’t like them.  In fact, she’s obsessed with boys; always having a crush on one after another.  It’s not really her fault, though; she’s reached the stage where her hormones are out of control, making her pay more attention to guys than before.  Due to the enviorment she’s lived in, and the people that surrounded her life, Jessie pretends to behave like the original street tough kid; tough, aggressive, and bitter, never showing any emotions.  But deep down, Jessie is just really a lost, lonely, and frightened little girl.  All she really wants is a mom and dad who’ll love her dearly.

History: Jessica grew up in the crummy side of Chicago, Illinois.  In her side of the neighborhood, Chicago was filled with crime, murder, and more.  Every ten minutes someone was shot or killed.  Gangs ruled the streets, and the police were powerless to stop them.  The high crime streaks were caused by the greatest enemy of all in the world: poverty.  Poverty was a common problem everyone in Chicago had to face.

Jessie and her parents lived in a run-down apartment.  The walls were cracked, the place was a mess(which was no fault of theirs), and the apartment was crawling with cockroaches and spiders.  There was only one bed, which was really a mattress, so Jessie and her folks had to make another one on their worn-down couch.  While her parents shared the sofa, Jessie was given the luxury of having the mattress.  It was old, the sheets were torn, and it was stuffed with hay; not very comfortable.  But the mattress felt better than the couch, which had the springs sticking out; having to be taped down to keep from hitting her parents’ backs.

Jessie was miserable, especially at school.  There was little money to buy supplies and books, so the students had to share them.  And they couldn’t afford an air conditioner or a heater, so the students had to suffer through the changing seasons.  Jessie was a bit above an average student, since her parents made more money than most of the other students.  To the kids of Chicago, having fresh chocolate milk was a luxury.

Jessica’s only comforts through her miserable life in Chicago were basketball, her three friends Kimmy, Tommy, and Michele, and her mother, Meranda Polmfeather Lockheart, who was also Phil Polmfeather’s older sister.  Jessie and her mother shared a very close relationship.  In fact if it weren’t for Meranda, Jessie’s aggressive behavior would be worse.

Meranda was a singer for a living, performing at a night club most of the time. She was also teaching Jessie some Judo when she was at the age of three. Meranda always tried to remain optimistic, to never give up hope that their lives would someday improve.  When Jessie was five, her mother gave her a special type of locket for her fifth birthday.  According to Meranda, the locket wasn’t an ordinary locket; it was very special.  A type of WISHING locket.  Meranda told Jessie that if she wished very hard on the locket, the wish would be trapped inside.  Then, when the time came, the wish would be released, and would come true.

But all hope of their lives improving were shattered.  A week after Jessie’s eight birthday, Meranda died of breast cancer.  Jessie was now left all alone with her father, Marcus Joseph Lockheart.  Marcus never loved Jessica at all; always wanted a son instead of a daughter.  Even though Jessie always behaved like a boy, Marcus had no care for her.  He only tolerated her because he needed someone to cook and clean up after him.  Since that day, Jessie’s life became a living nightmare.

All Jessie’s father ever did was drink.  Whiskey or beer; it never mattered to him.  Just as long as the drink contained alcohol.  About ten minutes after Marcus drank at least eight ounces of alcohol, he’d start abusing Jessie; physically and emotionally.  If he drank whiskey, he’d smash the bottle and slash Jessica with the sharp edges of the broken glass container.  If he’s drunk from beer, her cuts and bruises would come from his hands, feet, and his belt.  He was also a heavy chain smoker.

Not only was Jessie forced to endure regular beatings from her dad, she had to steal food in order to make sure she never starved to death.  She never bothered to buy her dad anything; she always knew that he stole something to eat when he went out to buy his alcohol.  She also had to deal with bullies along the way to and from school, and wherever she was.  Men were always threatening her; telling her to give them all she had.  Instead of listening to them, Jessie picked fights with them, beating up every single one of them.  Bullies from every corner of Chicago tried to get Jessie to give them everything she owned.  But it was of no use; she managed to pound the tar out of every one of them.

Jessie and her friends Kimmy, Tommy, and Michael did everything together; eat lunch, hang out after school, play sports, etc.  It was a rare occurance to see the four apart from each other.  They were always caught playing basketball with each other or skateboarding.  The four kids couldn’t buy their skateboards, since they had little money.  So instead, they stole them.  Not from a family or retail store; they had more sense than that.  They stole them from a gang of bullies that were always terrorizing them.  Jessie loved hanging out with the three and playing basketball or skateboarding with them.  Besides the fact that she was the best basketball player of the four, they were the only comforts she had in Chicago after her mom died.

But at the age of ten, Jessie couldn’t handle life in the seedy city she lived in anymore.  One night, after her father beated her again and slept on the worn down couch, Jess climed up the ladder of the apartment she lived in until she reached the roof top.  After looking into the star-filled sky, she pulled the locket her mother gave her out.  She then wished to the locket and the heavens that they would take her away from Chicago forever, so she wouldn’t have to endure anymore pain and suffering.

Four long and agonizing years past by since Jessie’s made that wish.  Good and bad things happened during those times, the bad out-numbering the good.  The good stuff was that Jessie won many school basketball championships and managed to make the top of her classes(that would be about average marks in the REALLY good schools).  The bad stuff that happened, besides the beatings she endured from her father, were the death of her friends.  Kimmy died in a car accident ten weeks after Jessie wished to be moved away from Chicago.  Two weeks afterwards, Michael and Tommy were shot in a gang incident.  From there, Jessie learned not to get emotionally attached to anyone; because her friends and classmates were killed all the time; either that, or were forced to move away.  It was an everyday occurance for someone to die in Chicago.

Jessica couldn’t handle living in Chicago anymore.  Everyone she cared for was dead, and she was sick and tired of being starved and beaten.  One night, while her father was sleeping, Jessie found a giant bag filled with cash; at least $30,000.  She guessed it was her mother’s money, since the bag belonged to her.  Jessie assumed that her mom was saving up some of their money to move away from Chicago; she was only $20,000 away from earning a divorce slip, paying for the fees, and there would be enough money left over for them to move to at least Montana and put a down payment on a small house.  It was then that Jessie decided to run away from Chicago for good, since there was obvioulsy not going to be a miracle in store for her.

Jessie tried to run away early in the morning, to avoid waking her father.  However, he caught her just as she was about to open the door.  She then admitted to her dad that she was running away and she wasn’t going to come back.  After half an hour of arguing, Marcus got into a fit of rage and started beating the tar out of Jessie.  The beatings he was pulling over her weren’t the type she was used too; they were VERY severe.  Marcus was about to deliver another punch to Jessie’s face, when the police arrived, nearly breaking down the door.  After pulling Marcus away from a bleeding and dying Jessie, she was immedietly rushed to the hosptial, where she spent at least two months trying to recover.

When the two months were over, Jessica was told to testify against her father.  Afterwards the jury found Marcus guilty for the charges of child abuse, child neglect, and attempted murder.  He was sent to a lifetime in jail with no chance of parol, and was forced to attend A.A meetings in prison.  After the matter was settled over Marcus, the court had to decide over where Jessie was to live.  Orphanadges and foster homes were filled.  After a week of thinking it over, the Chicago Court made up their minds.  Jessie was to live with her uncle, Phil Pomfeather, in Anaheim, California.  Then after a few weeks, she would be moved to Montana to live with her other Uncle Robert and Aunt Ming Pomfeather, where she would have a healthier enviorment to live in*.

However, after a couple of weeks, Jessie didn’t want to leave to Montana.  She liked living in Anaheim; she managed to make friends out of the people that worked for her uncle.  Phil had to debate the matter over with the courts, and after a week,  Jessie got her way.  She’s currently a softmore in high school, trying to make above a C average since school in Anaheim’s harder than in Chicago, and is one of the star players of Anaheim High’s girl’s varsity basketball team.

Good Points: Jessica’s very cute, despite her scarred appearance.  She plays a lot of sports, which gives her agility, strength, and swiftness.  And since she’s lived on the streets all of her life, she can defend herself very easily.  There are also times when she can be a nice person, if you give her the reason to be.  She’s extrodinary at basketball and many other sports.  And since she’s so small, she can crawl into ventalation shafts and other small cracks easily; and she’s pretty good at stealing without other people noticing until it’s too late.  She’s also very tough and brave; more than most girls her size and age would be.  Refuses to let anyone push her around, and doesn’t give in very easily.  The type of person you would want being on your side in a fight.  And she can usually get her way in situations by either giving someone the innocent pouting look...or get mean, shove them to the wall, and threaten them.

Bad Points: Jessica is WAY too boyish!  She usually rushes into fights, never thinking about the consequences.  She’s always TOO eager to fight, and gets REALLY mad when she doesn’t get her way.  And she always fights with Nosedive, Wildwing’s younger brother.  She also pretends not be affected by someone’s insults, which can have people thinking of her as a bi***.  She doesn’t know how to express emotions, since she’s been shutting them off for six years.  She refuses to cry in front of people, exposing weaknesses.  And she makes sure not get attached to other people, since she believes that if she becomes to caring towards someone, she’ll lose them, tearing her apart even more.  She also hates people babying her, being over-protective.  She pretends to be as tough as nails, but she’s really weak and frightened.  She always believes that no one cares for her, since she’s lived without love for six years, so she has to live without people helping to protect her.  Jessie always thinks that she has to be tough in order to survive, always thinking that the world is cold and cruel, and no one will be there to help her through the hard times.  There’s also the fact that she’s obsessed with boys; currently has a crush on the hispanic singer Enrique Iglesias.  And she always goes on a MAJOR sugar high; she can drink half of a two liter bottle of Sprite or Coca-Cola in five minutes, making her act hyper and crazy for two hours.  She also complains about having to wear skirts/dresses, and is VERY reluctant to say sorry to anyone.

Likes: Nosedive(on a friendship basis), Enrique Iglesias, basketball, skateboarding, judo,  just about any type of sport, STAR WARS, horror movies, her Uncle Phil, boys, comics, arcades, video games, science-fction books, jeans, soda, chocolate, junk food, music, boy-bands, pulling pranks, wrestling, fighting, and squirt guns.  She also misses her mom and three friends Kimmy, Tommy, and Michael terribly.

Hates: Her father, the Saurians, not being allowed to FIGHT the Saurians, snakes, spiders, Duke’s corny jokes, Phil being over-protective about her, losing, Wildwing getting on her case, admitting when she’s wrong, saying sorry, Mallory’s take-charge attitude, dresses, skirts, homework, math, and BIOLOGY.

~Quotes Overheard~

Ah man!  Do I HAFTA wear a dress?

You want trouble pal?!  You’re looking at it!  My NAME is trouble!

I’ll slash his spineless body into fettuchini!

Nuttin like the direct approach.

They’re gonna hafta deal with ME now!

Well so?

Ehhh......I just came up for a shake.

You?  Beat ME up?!  THAT’S a laugh!

I aint’ saying sorry; no way, no how!

In the area where I grew up in, you were either tough as nails or dead like a doorknob.  What choice would you take if your were in my situation?

Nosedive; wait! ::hugs him:: Don’t be mad at me, please.  You’re the only friend I have in this city.  I don’t want to be alone anymore.

~Said of Her~

Nosedive: Man!  That girl is one SERIOUS sports fanatic!

Duke: Why does she hafta take her anger out on me?

Phil: I wish she would talk to me; tell me what’s eating her.

Wildwing: I understand why she’s so angry and hurt.  I wanna help her; but I can’t if she won’t take the time to talk with me.

Mallory: That girl is a SERIOUS pain in the neck!

Grin: People that act angry around other people are always the ones that are hurting and are in need of help.  Young Jessica behaves this way because it’s the only way she knows HOW to behave.  No one’s given her any love or support after her mother died; only anger, hatred, and abuse.  At that young of an age, people would believe that it’s the most common behavior in the world, and that is what they should expect from others.  Give her time, and she’ll change.  But she’ll need a lot of time; it’s hard to turn off an aggressive behavior when you’ve lived that way for six years, in order to survive.

Wing: Umm, Nosedive?  Where’s the two liter bottle of Sprite I just bought?

Dive: In the kitchen; on the counter next to the fridge.

Wing: Where’s Jessie?

Dive: In the....uh-oh.

Wing: What do you mean ‘uh-oh’?
Dive: JESSIE’S IN THE KITCHEN!!!
