Guy Hebert

In the cartoon world, Guy Hebert was a star goalie who came to the aid of the team when Wildwing had temporarily left them, claiming that he was going to quit. Guy agreed to play in Wildwing's place, but drew the line at having to wear a funny looking duck costume!

In reality, Guy Hebert is also a star goalie, who played for the real life Mighty Ducks from their inagural season in 1993, until he was released on waivers in 2000. Guy's story is one that has shaped the identity of the real Mighty Ducks. He was the first player drafted when the team formed, and the last original Duck from that draft to leave its ranks. In that time, he has set most of the team's records, including games played, and all of the records for goaltending.

After he was waived, Guy played out the rest of the 2000-2001 season as a backup goalie for the New York Rangers. He has since been living in the town of Troy, New York, where he was born. He is married, and has a young daughter. His fans anxiously await any news of his return to NHL play.
